Problem Sexual Behavior Group

Sundays at 5:30 PM CST, starting April 6th, 2025

Join us at Respark for our supportive group counseling, designed for individuals in Texas struggling with problem sexual behavior or sex addiction. Our virtual sessions are held over Zoom every Sunday at 5:30 PM CST, starting April 6th, 2025.

In this weekly counseling group, participants will explore various sexual wellness topics that will empower them to lead their healthiest sexual and relational lives. Our counselors will emphasize personal responsibility for our health, pleasure, and growth; while also providing expert guidance and psychoeducation on the topic. Homework will be assigned each session to support your developmental journey.

  6. Prevention of infections/pathogens/pregnancy

SPECIFICATIONS

  • This group remains open to new members at all times, but we require a 10-week commitment. Every 10 weeks, we cycle through our topics again. 
  • The group is limited to 20 participants at a time. Registration is required at least 48 hours in advance.
  • Each client must meet with the counselor for a free 15-minute consultation before their first group session. This ensures the group fits your needs and that you are a good fit for the group.
  • All participants must be over 17 years old.
  • The price for this group is $450  for the entire 10 weeks of sessions.

Who is this group not for?

  • Those in active crisis
  • Those who cannot commit to 10 weeks of weekly sessions and homework

Healing Circle for Sexual Harm Survivors

Tuesdays at 8:30 PM CST via Zoom 

Join us for a one-hour weekly support group hosted by Casandra Jones, where we co-create a virtual healing space for those who have survived sexual harm/trauma. Healing circles are a time-honored practice rooted in various cultural traditions, focusing on mutual support, deep listening, and personal sharing. They offer a compassionate environment where individuals can speak their truth, be heard, and support one another in their healing journey.

Participants from around the globe are welcome to join. However, new clients must have a free 15-minute consultation with Casandra before attending their first Healing Circle to ensure a safe and supportive environment for all participants.

Meet Casandra,

ReSpark Support Group Facilitator

Casandra's extensive background in public health and her clinical expertise make her uniquely suited to help clients navigate the intersection of sexual health, relationships, and personal challenges. With over a decade in community health organizations, she brings a compassionate, systems-based perspective to her work. As a sex therapist in training, Casandra specializes in consensual non-monogamy, kink, LGBTQ+ identities, and chronic health issues. Her approach integrates Neuro-Narrative and attachment theories, helping clients embrace their strengths and move through trauma toward healing and growth.

Gender Identity Group

Thursdays at 8:00 PM CST

Join a free, welcoming support group for trans and gender-diverse individuals every Thursday evening. This group offers a safe, affirming environment to connect with others who share similar experiences and challenges. Together, participants explore personal growth, resilience, and support in addressing issues unique to the trans and gender-diverse communities. Here, you’ll find understanding, strength, and validation in a community that truly “gets” you.

Women's Support Group

Fridays 2:00 PM CST

Our free Women's Support Group offers a compassionate, safe space for women to connect, share experiences, and find support. Whether you're navigating personal challenges, life transitions, or just seeking community, you'll find understanding and empowerment. In this non-judgmental and confidential environment, we focus on fostering connections and building lasting friendships.

This group will start on Friday, 13 December 2024.

ReSpark Support Group Facilitator

A compassionate therapist with a passion for fostering growth and understanding, Julia specializes in helping individuals and couples navigate challenges in relationships, sexuality, and identity. With a Sex Therapy Certification from the Sexual Health Alliance and a Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Capella, Julia blends integrative techniques to create personalized care. A lifelong Austin resident, she excels at creating safe, judgment-free spaces for exploring sensitive topics, ensuring every client feels supported in their journey toward authenticity and connection.

LGBTQIA+ Support Group

Tuesdays at 8:00 PM CST

This welcoming, free weekly group provides a safe, affirming space for LGBTQIA+ individuals to find support, connect, and process life’s challenges together. Led by Stephen and Julia, it’s an open and unstructured session, perfect for those who prefer a flexible setting without set topics. Our goal is to foster community, offer resources, and allow members to share and gain perspectives in a comforting environment.

Stephen's experience in community mental health has allowed him to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds and understand the importance of providing culturally competent care. As a gay Latiné man, he brings a unique perspective to his work as a sex therapist, understanding the challenges and complexities that can arise in navigating sexual identity and relationships.
