Rob Garrett, MD, CST

Welcome! I'm Dr. Rob Garrett, a psychiatrist who is Board-Certified in Adult and Geriatric Psychiatry. I am certified as a sex therapist through the Sexual Health Alliance. I work with all relationship styles including opening relationships. Working together, we can address a wide variety of concerns including consensual or ethical non-monogamy, identity, body image, desire differences, and other issues. As a physician, I have training to address medical problems that may have a negative impact on sexuality and relationships. I enjoy working with all ages including older adults. As a psychiatrist, I can prescribe psychiatric medications, if needed. I do not prescribe benzodiazepines or stimulants due to federal laws regarding telehealth.

I earned an undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Austin. I graduated from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School and completed a Residency in psychiatry as well as a Fellowship in Geriatric Psychiatry. I have practiced in both outpatient and inpatient areas. Through training and clinical experience, I am trauma-informed, body-positive, kink-aware, and supportive of the LGBTQIA+ and alternative communities.

I see therapy as a collaborative effort that can result in real change. Ultimately, our work should help you find joy, pleasure, and the sex life you desire. I look forward to meeting you and working together.
