Vielca McBride’s Favorite Parts of Telehealth Therapy

Our Respark Texas therapist Vielca McBride recently discussed what she’s found to be positive about switching solely to telehealth therapy through this global pandemic.

Vielca mentioned that she has come to love telehealth because she can work from the comfort of my home. She’s noticed that her clients feel comfort being in their own homes as well. Many of Vielca’s clients come to session with their favorite blankets, snacks and tea to get cozy.

Vielca has also noticed that some of her clients feel more at ease talking about their personal lives through the camera. Especially talking about vulnerable issues regarding our sexuality, for most clients, being at home has shown to help them reduce those initial feelings of anxiety. It can be hard to open up about our sexual issues, but being in the comfort of our own homes creates a sense of safety.
