Featured in Loveline Podcast

By: Alyssa Morterud

Our founder and director of Respark and founder of Sexual Health Alliance, Heather McPherson was featured in Loveline, a podcast with Dr. Chris Donaghue that focuses on authenticity in terms of sexual health and wellness. Heather speaks on cuckolding and hotwifing in terms of sexual exploration and healthy lifestyles. She provides education as well as insight into each of the practices. Cuckolding “is generally focused on the male… often submissive… desire to be humiliated” while hotwifing is “ your wife is typically so hot and so desirable that they can be pleasured by another person, they can pleasure another person.” (McPherson) Overall, Heather McPherson notes that both cuckolding and hot-wife-ing can go hand in hand and can be a way to expand and explore sexual desires/ relationships. Heather mentions, “We can get so caught up in the labels and what that means… whether its hotwifing or cuckolding or kinky sex, whatever gives you pleasure… helps your relationship strengthen. I think that is a wonderful way to view it and have that be the goal.” An example of hotwifing and cuckolding together would be if a “person has a small penis, the cuck comes in and has a big penis and is able to satisfy the wife and partner where this person was not able to satisfy her.” (McPherson) In this sense, all parties are satisfied while actively acting out their individual desires.

In the episode, Heather also gives tips on how individuals can bring up cuckolding or hot-wife-ing to their partner(s) in a way that is healthy for all parties. It’s important for people to respect each other’s boundaries when incorporating new experiences into their relationships/ sex-lives. Heather notes that it’s important to be both open and patient! Moreover, Heather talks about female desire and power-play when it comes to hotwifing and cuckolding, the practice can be a source of female empowerment. If you want to learn more about cuckolding, hotwifing and gender norms tune into the episode with Dr. Chris!
